From his beginnings as a still photographer through his work as a commercial director, Rocky has always been a storyteller. He has spent the last fifteen years producing and directing commercials for national clients such as Southwest Airlines, Lowe’s, Conoco/Phillips, Wal-Mart and Harrah’s through his production company RockHouse Films. His work has ranged from telling the stories of real people, to comedy and directing celebrities. Most recently, Rocky Powell won an Emmy for the CNBC campaign. This journey has brought him to directing his first feature, Language of a Broken Heart.
